Change Management Consulting in Denver and Boulder, Colorado

Have you ever taken on a change management initiative and felt frustrated at the energy and effort that it takes to change a team, organization or even yourself? You are not alone! Transformative Training offers Change Management Consulting in Denver and Boulder, Colorado and beyond!

True change takes time, perseverance, consistency and support!

As we are on the cusp of 2014 this is a time where most of us personally and professionally take stock of the last year, assess our triumphs and fall backs, and set goals for the new year.

If you are like many people, whether professionally or personally, changes don’t come easy.Essentially, we are motivated either by either pain or gain – that’s it. We also usually manage others in the same way through a combination of the “carrot” vs. the “stick” – hoping that one or the other will “get” people to change!

People, teams and organizations change because something is no longer working and it is so painful that the pain of changing is less than the pain of staying how we are.

For example, when that extra 20 pounds you have been carrying around actually becomes a health issue, you might then change your eating and exercise habits. Or, when a company is faced with restructuring or downsizing, that is often a wake-up call that changes must be made to avoid more pain.

Likewise, when we think something will bring us more happiness, success or gain – the promise of reward will motivate us to change. That is, as long as the gain outweighs the pain of changing.

For example, if you are in line for a promotion at work and your supervisor gives you feedback that you need to work on your leadership skills, if you feel the promotion will bring you what you want then you are likely to work on your weaknesses to get you there.

Some organizations seem to think that change will “magically” take place on their teams with a one or even a half-day training. Unfortunately, this is not the case.  Sustainable changes take time and dedicated effort consistently.

In the new year, we are implementing changes within Transformative Training that will help you take advantage of our professional Change Management Consulting in Denver and Boulder, Colorado.
