Leadership Training Colorado

Extraordinary Leaders – 2 days

What makes a good leader great? Certainly there are many qualities that great leaders possess that we can develop in ourselves. The key is to understanding that leadership is comprised of a set of skills and qualities that can be learned. As Peter Senge outlines in his concept of the Learning Organization, “The only sustainable source of competitive advantage is your organization’s ability to learn faster than its competition.”

This two-day intensive is designed to bring out the best in your leaders, or leaders in training. Because 90% of a leader’s success is due to their level of emotional intelligence (Goleman, 1998), those are the qualities that we focus on developing. These include skills such as: Expanding self-awareness, skill at handling difficult conversations, being able to see multiple perspectives, finding win-win solutions, empowering others to set and achieve goals, and creating a collaborative team environment. We utilize a strategic combination of cognitive learning and experiential learning to understand and practice these skills in a hands-on environment.

In many of our team building and leadership programs we strive to positively impact the community whenever we can. If you would like to include this community development component in your program you have a couple of options. During the creative problem solving unit of this training we can present you with some real-world challenges of a local non-profit organization and ask your team to come up with some practical and creative solutions that will help your team practice new skills while helping a local organization problem solve. Or, we can collaborate with a local nonprofit for you to teach a leadership unit to a group of their employees or youth-at-risk.

Agenda:
