Regarding using movies for trainings and transformation, there is a great book called: "Positive Psychology at the Movies" that I have drawn from extensively in trainings, the subject matter is neatly organized into themes for quick and easy reference.

I have found one significant way to engage in training is to insert some of the content into an automated learning pod, this allows the trainers to spend more of their valuable time focusing on answering questions, facilitating process, and provide more innovative solutions because they are able to take a larger "view" and thereby recognize themes and patterns in the process of transformation within the group. Thanks for the great info!

What an interesting coincidence. We had Douglas Vermeeren to our office today to do a training. 101 ways to increase productivity in the workplace. It was great. I had never heard of him before, but I was so excited that tonight I began to look him up on the net. And wow I have found a lot. But none of it is as good as connecting with him live. He is a great teacher, trainer and teacher. I got more value out of the one hour with him than any other trainer I have every heard. He is definitely right up there with people like Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, Ken Blanchard, Stephen Covey and others of that calibre. His ideas were fresh and incredibly applicable. I have things that I can do immediately and there was no fluff. He is the real deal. If you ever get the chance to hear him or have him in your office I highly recommend it.

what about using movies in training? We recently saw The Opus and it has really helped put our people in a different frame of mind. The Opus - just for those who don't know is being considered the follow up to the film The Secret. www.TheOpusMovie.com The Opus was produced by Douglas Vermeeren who is considered by many to be North America's Achievement Expert. We had him into our office recently and he is a great trainer as well. You might want to check out this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT-DpyHwq4c

Anyways, there are a lot of great movies out there for training. Perhaps this should be the subject of another blog.
