Team Improv – 1/2 – 1 day
What is Improv teambuilding? Improvisation is the art of spontaneously creating with others to come up with a unique and often unexpected result. What makes improv actors successful is that they have mastered certain approaches to working together that automatically generate innovation and collaboration. When applied in your organization, these improv techniques will give you an innovative advantage in the competitive and ever changing environment of the business world.

If you want to take the learning and fun even further, we encourage you to make this a full-day event. During the second half of the day – each team will have the opportunity to teach what they have learned to a small group of youth from a local nonprofit organization. The best way to retain learning is to teach someone else. In addition, your team will have the benefit of working as a team to create, plan and facilitate a mini-program – this is a great teambuilding event by itself. We’ll be there to coach you through this part. The icing on the cake is being able to work with the young people and see them have fun and learn too!
Agenda:
- Overview of the fundamentals of improv as they relate to teambuilding
- Warm-ups
- Break into small groups for improv activities
- If you choose, you will teach activities to a local non-profit group
- Closing improv surprise show
- Debrief and application to the workplace
