Wellness Retreat – 1 day

Work/Life balance is a popular concept these days – but we show you how to put that into practice. Think of this as a one-day learning retreat. Rather than talk at you about stress management, we will engage you in a series of activities designed to bring balance in the areas of mind, heart, body and spirit. You will leave this day refreshed, recharged, and with practical tools to take back to your workplace and home to bring more balance, enjoyment and satisfaction to work and life.

Because of the nature of the Wellness Retreat, this is an off-site program. We recommend holding this program at a retreat center or similar venue with access to both indoor and outdoor spaces.

  • Create a personal plan for gaining more balance
  • Learn specific tools to reduce stress
  • Learn tools to create more heartfelt communication at work

In many of our programs we strive to involve community nonprofit organizations whenever possible. During the wellness retreat we may have the opportunity to do some volunteer work at the retreat center or we can arrange to do volunteer work with a partnering non-profit organization during the last two hours of the program as an option.

Agenda:

  • Introduction and warm-up activities
  • Introduction to model of balance
  • Self-assessment – where are you out of balance?
  • Some of the experiential stress management activities you will experience
    include:

    • meditation
    • art
    • stretching/movement/breathing
    • communicating authentically
    • guided visualization
  • Create a personal plan for greater work/life balance
  • Debrief and application to workplace
  • Closing

Please note that this program asks participants to explore and be open to things they may not have experienced previously including meditation, stretching and guided visualization. We will work with your organization to design a program that fits for you, but it is best if the participants are open and willing to try new modalities of stress management.
